This year at GMI, return with us to the Golden Age of Golf. We’re excited to share that this year’s theme is Golf in the 1930’s!

Everyone is encouraged to dress in the golf styles of the era (don’t worry, we’ll help you order Plus Fours, harlequin patterned socks, and Treadeasys) and get ready to hit the niblicks, baffies, and brassies that sponsors will have at every hole. It’s one thing to see Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy conquering today’s best golf courses but to play with these vintage clubs and imagine how Bobby Jones and Ben Hogan did the same 90 years ago is almost unimaginable.

So what’s so great about the 1930’s? That era is often referred to as the Golden Age, it was when aviation was making major strides, Hollywood produced movies like the Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz and golf reigned as the pinnacle of a gentlemen’s sport.
